The reason why the AI coach decided on that gameplan remains a mystery, but it might be that the participant has suffered some punting issues in previous games. However, with so many Franchise Mode glitches, it is possible that this training decision is just another one.
The suspicious coaching decision does not look like it'll do much injury for the entire year, and will only bring about just a little boost to the participant's punting, which may end up being more useful than anticipated. Fortunately, if the strange gameplan is a bug, then it doesn't violate the match like many previous bugs in Madden NFL 21. Players may laugh in the training decision, especially since most have probably seen the offensive gameplan options and never selected punting.
Together with EA releasing the previous Franchise Mode upgrade for Madden 21, it seems the focus has shifted to the launch of Madden NFL 22. Many enthusiasts are expecting new features in Madden 22, and maybe improvements to Face of the Franchise Mode. Although the name has not been formally announced, it's expected to launch later this year, given the history of annual Madden releases. Rumors suggest another Madden cover celebrity has already been chosen, though EA hasn't formally revealed this info.
Madden NFL 22 hasn't officially been confirmed, but it seems as near to certain as one can be that it will be coming this season. While an argument could be made that Digital Arts should take off a year from the Madden NFL series, there's very little chance that will really occur. In a nutshell, whatever is offered in Madden NFL 22, it has to be a large debut in contrast to how Madden NFL 21 premiered.
